THERMINATOR Consortium Meets in Neuchâtel for Strategic and Scientific Breakthroughs

On 20–21 October 2025, the THERMINATOR consortium gathered in person at CSEM in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, for a pivotal two-day project meeting hosted by CSEM. It marked the consortium’s second in-person meeting, reinforcing the collaborative foundations laid earlier and pushing the project into a new phase of strategic alignment and deep scientific focus.

A productive first day focused on collaboration and clarity

Day 1 was dedicated to reviewing progress across all partners, consolidating the technical roadmap, and preparing for upcoming strategic and administrative milestones. The partners jointly addressed the first methodological challenges, including reliability planning, multi-technology interfacing and integration timelines — ensuring a clear, shared vision for the coming year.

Day 2 — deep science, high ambition

The second day shifted into high-intensity technical exchanges, diving deeply into the core scientific challenges of electrocaloric and thermoacoustic innovation. The discussions explored how to unlock its full breakthrough potential through close alignment across integration, interfacing and the potential of each component.

A major highlight was the guided visit of CSEM’s state-of-the-art research facilities, which provided the partners with direct insight into cutting-edge experimental platforms and sparked new synergies for the months ahead.

A strong momentum moving forward

The consortium left Neuchâtel with reinforced alignment, renewed clarity, and a shared sense of ambition for 2026. Warm thanks go to CSEM and Ivan Marozau for their exceptional hospitality and organisation, and to all partners for their expertise, openness and collaborative energy throughout the meeting.

Stay tuned — the journey is just getting started.
