THERMINATOR project review and consortium meeting in Cambridge

The THERMINATOR consortium gathered in Cambridge this week for two important moments in the project: the review meeting for the first reporting period and a consortium meeting bringing partners together to discuss progress, challenges and the next steps.

Hosted by TWI and Brunel Innovation Centre, the meetings provided an opportunity to take stock of the work carried out so far, exchange with the project reviewers and align the consortium on the path ahead.

Reviewing the progress achieved so far

The project review meeting marked an important milestone for THERMINATOR. Partners presented the progress achieved during the first reporting period across the different areas of the project, covering technical developments, modelling and simulation, use cases, exploitation, communication and dissemination.

The discussions with the reviewers provided valuable feedback and an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and challenges encountered during this first phase of the project.

With the different technological components progressing in parallel, the meeting also highlighted the importance of bringing these elements together as THERMINATOR moves towards system integration.

Bringing the different pieces together

The consortium meeting that followed focused on how the different strands of work are coming together.

Partners discussed the integration of the technology and its connection with the project’s use cases, alongside the progress made in the technical development of the different components. Modelling and simulation were also key topics, with partners discussing how these activities can support the development and experimental validation of the technology.

The discussions also covered the project’s application scenarios and exploitation perspective, helping to maintain a clear focus on the potential impact and future applications of the THERMINATOR technology.

Looking ahead

The meetings in Cambridge provided a valuable opportunity for the consortium to take a step back, assess where the project stands and align on the priorities for the coming period.

As THERMINATOR progresses, the focus will increasingly be on bringing the different components and areas of work together, while continuing to advance the technology towards its targeted applications.

The consortium left Cambridge with a shared understanding of the progress achieved so far and the work still ahead – and with strong momentum for the next phase of the project.

A big thank you to TWI and Brunel Innovation Centre for hosting the THERMINATOR partners in Cambridge and contributing to two highly productive days of discussions and collaboration.
