THERMINATOR consortium holds its 3rd consortium meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia

On 4-5 June 2026, the THERMINATOR consortium gathered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for its third consortium meeting, hosted by the University of Ljubljana.

Over two productive days, project partners met to review progress across the different work packages, discuss technical developments, and coordinate the next steps for the project. The meeting provided an important opportunity for consortium members to exchange knowledge, address challenges, and strengthen collaboration as THERMINATOR advances towards its objectives.

The programme began with a general project update, including a review of the action plan, upcoming deliverables, and key deadlines. This was followed by a series of work package flash updates covering developments in electrocaloric conversion technologies, thermoacoustic conversion systems, smart controls, testing and validation activities, as well as communication and exploitation actions.

A major focus of the meeting was dedicated to technical discussions and in-depth exchanges on thermo-to-electric conversion mechanisms. Partners presented recent progress, shared insights from ongoing research activities, and explored approaches to address technical challenges and improve system performance.

The consortium also devoted significant time to discussions on system integration and control strategies. These sessions enabled partners to align technical approaches across the project and identify priorities for the next stages of development and validation.

The second day continued with joint technical discussions and project coordination activities. Partners reviewed action points, agreed on key next steps, and established a shared roadmap for the coming months to ensure the successful implementation of planned activities.

The meeting highlighted the strong commitment and collaborative spirit of all consortium members. By bringing together expertise from across Europe, THERMINATOR continues to advance innovative thermal energy technologies that support the transition towards more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

The consortium would like to thank the University of Ljubljana for its warm hospitality and excellent organisation of the meeting.

We look forward to the next stages of the project and to continuing our collaborative work towards the development of next-generation thermal energy technologies.
